EFFECT: A five or ten pound note or dollar bill is borrowed from a spectator and either signed or the number of the note taken. The note is then folded up neatly and a small elastic band placed tightly around the note. In full view, and close to the spectator, the note is placed underneath and in the centre of a handkerchief and the spectator asked to grasp the note. You go to your table and pick up a brass tube which has a locked cap and ask a spectator to hold the tube whilst you perform a miracle. You now ask the spectator to release the note on the count of three when you pull the handkerchief away and show that the note has disappeared. You now invite the spectator holding the brass tube to open it and to everyone's amazement he finds the original note. The tube can be inspected.
